During the first 18 months there was a fruitful and active synergy between the partners to ensure the smooth development of all aspects of the project, with clinical activities, infrastructure configuration and analysis having to take place in parallel.
In particular, the recruitment of samples and retrospective data saw a solid collaboration between the clinical centers, coordinated by WWU, while the data analysis group (led by AIT) coordinated the development of the SOPs for shipping and harmonization of clinical characteristics and omics data that will be merged. Data analyzes have already started and the data and analysis repository has been implemented.
Proof of this close collaboration are the countless meetings that took place both with the entire consortium and with the clinical, data analysis and ELSI working groups.
On October 19 and 20, 2023 we finally organized a face-to-face meeting in Camogli, Genoa, Italy.
New team members are working on the project: a project manager has been specially recruited at IGG and a process to hire a new bioinformatician is underway.
